'Pandas on Board' TNT Airways from Shanghai to Madrid

In September 2007, TNT Boeing 747-400 ERF successfully completed the special task of delivering two giant pandas to Madrid, Spain. The delivery process began in the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding. The pandas were first transported to Shanghai International Pudong Airport, from where they were directly carried by the new TNT Boeing 747 to Madrid Zoo. In order to ensure the journey was as comfortable as possible for the pandas and to shorten the time of the long-distance trip, TNT China provided full services including strict control over temperature, air pressure and oxygen.
