TNT China Starts to Use Biodegradable Express Bags

TNT China started to replace the plastic express bags used at its 34 depots across mainland China with biodegradable express bags. The use of these biodegradable bags can significantly reduce pollution compared to using normal plastic express bags. As part of the global CO2 emissions project Planet Me, TNT China have implemented a series of CO2 emission reduction measures at operating level which include: continuing our national fuel-saving competition, installing energy-saving lights at some gateways and depots, monitoring CO2 emission levels at each depot, advocating two-sided printing, recycling paper and envelopes, etc. Besides this, we encourage colleagues to do the same in their daily lives, with suggestions such as bringing reusable chopsticks for eating lunch and drinking out of glass cups instead of disposable paper cups; we have also initiated “Me Action” to collect creative green ideas.
