Energy-saving Lamps Light up Pudong Gateway
After seven months of research and assessment, work was successfully completed for the installation of energy-saving lamps at TNT China Pudong Gateway at the end of April. More than 120 new LVD lamps have now been put into use to replace the traditional lighting that was originally used. Compared with the ones which were used before, the new energy-saving lamps can save as much as 50% of power costs under the same conditions, as well as reduce annual CO2 emissions by 150 tons, which enables Pudong gateway to recover our costs within a year. Moreover, the LVD lamps are three times brighter than the ones originally used, while the wattage is only half, and the special structure of the lamps means they can be used for as long as 8000 hours.
