TNT receives "Best Logistics Provider China Award " and "Best Road Haulier Award" at Asian Freight and Supply Chain Awards 2005

Shanghai, March 30 - TNT, the leading global provider of Express, Logistics and Mail services, kicks off its Data Collection Campaign in Shanghai today as the initial step in building its Direct Marketing business in China.

TNT Express has announced it has won the coveted "Best Logistics Provider China Award " as well as the "Best Road Haulier Award" at the Asian Freight and Supply Chain Award Dinner held on Wednesday 27 April 2005.

The 19th annual event returns to Hong Kong - the business centre of Asia and a key link in the region's supply chains - for the first time in four years. The AFSCA annual gala event brings together top decision makers from customers to suppliers, shippers and transport companies, for an evening of entertainment and recognition of excellence in the industry. Around four hundred top executives from the cargo transport and supply chain industries attended the 2005 AFSCAs in Hong Kong.

TNT China beat off competition from DHL and Kerry Logistics to scoop the "Best Logistics Provider China Award" accolade.  It is the first year Cargonews China establishes the Cargonews China Awards and the Awards are aimed to acknowledge and recognize the freight and supply chain providers'contributions in China, an increasingly important market in the global business arena.  TNT China is favorably acclaimed for its expertise in automotive and high-end electronic logistics.  The recent strategic development of their domestic road network further adds to the success.

TNT is also the winner of "Best Road Haulier Asia Award".  As a leading provider of business-to-business express delivery services, offering on-demand, time-definite and day-certain door-to-door delivery services for documents, parcels and freight, TNT has demonstrated sound business judgment by shifting its role from a traditional distributor of goods to encompass freight forwarding, warehouse and distribution, and after sales support service thus providing its customers with a 'one stop solution'to integrated supply chain management service.

Ken McCall, CEO of TNT China, says: "We are honored to have been presented with the Best Logistics Provider in China stature which reflects our commitment and strength in China.  Also Best Road Haulier Award is a tribute to our staff at all levels who always support TNT and contribute to its on-going success. Our teams in HK and China work closely together on a daily basis.  TNT will continue to deliver world-class logistics and express services to our customers in the region. "
