TNT Express wins two awards for Global IT customer service centre

TNT Express – the world's leading business to business express delivery company – today announced it has won two awards for its global IT customer service centre in Atherstone, UK.  The awards were presented by the National Help Desk Institute, the world's largest association for the service and support industry. 

The first award TNT collected was for the much coveted 'National Help Desk Support Excellence Team'and saw the company beat off stiff competition from many of the top customer service centres around the country. This is the first time TNT has won the award. Last year the company achieved second place in this category.

The second award the company won was for 'Special Innovation'and was given for the creation of a visual wall display, illustrating the step by step process a consignment takes - from collection through to delivery.

To win these prestigious awards, TNT had to undergo a number of rigorous assessments, which included submitting a lengthy document outlining key areas such as leadership, people management, policy & strategy, customer services and processes. In addition, four independent judges visited the global customer service centre and were given the opportunity to speak to staff. The company also gave a detailed and extensive presentation to organisers and judges of the awards, outlining why it deserved to win.

The global customer service centre handles over 1,500 calls per day, from 200 countries across the globe and operates 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
