TNT Announces New Greater China Governance

Shanghai, 28 August 2006 – TNT Group, the world's leading mail and express delivery provider, announced today that it will launch a new TNT Greater China Management Governance structure.

The sale of TNT's Logistics arm, announced on 23 August, will allow the company to move forward with its Focus strategy, concentrating on the growth of the Express and Mail divisions. In China, the sale implies a reduced complexity of tasks. At the same time, the ambitious growth of the business demands a more operationally focused governance management structure.

In light of such development, TNT Greater China Managing Director Ken McCall has accepted the offer from the Board of Management to further develop the TNT Asia strategy. The challenging task will include designing an intra-Asia transport network. In that capacity, Ken McCall will work closely with Group Strategy in the Netherlands, reporting to CEO Peter Bakker and Group Managing Director Express Marie-Christine Lombard.

The Board of Management announced today that Michael Drake will become the new Managing Director for TNT Greater China, effective 8 September.

Michael Drake, currently the managing director of TNT Southeast Asia, has been with TNT since 1993 and has twenty years of experience in the express and logistics industry spanning Asia, Europe and the USA.

TNT CEO Peter Bakker noted that the Board of Management is strongly committed to China and the enormous potential for future business opportunities that it represents. The Board of Management also recognized Ken McCall's pivotal contribution to the development and execution of the China strategy.
