TNT China Awarded "Investors in People" Accreditation

Shanghai, December 29, 2007 – Today, TNT, the leading express and postal service provider, announced that TNT China has been granted the 'Investors in People' accreditation. TNT China is one of the few companies in China to win this international accreditation. This accreditation embodies TNT's belief that excellent service can only be provided by great people and reaffirms TNT's commitment to developing its people and growing its talents.

'Investors in People', managed and issued by 'Investors in People UK', is one of the highest accreditations for human resources management globally. Since the launch of its new assessment criteria in 2004, only slightly more than 20 multinational companies in the world have been recognized as 'Investors in People'. These companies cover a wide range of industries including healthcare, education, finance and logistics. Globally, TNT is the only company in the express and logistics industry to achieve the 'Investors in People' accreditation.

Earlier in 2007, "Investors in People" conducted random interviews with 64 TNT employees working in TNT China headquarters and its branch offices in Xiamen, Beijing and Guangzhou, during which a systematic and professional assessment, consisting of 13 key indices, was completed. The auditor from "Investors in People UK" spoke highly of TNT China in terms of training and development for employees, corporate governance, business performance, training and corporate communications.

To set up a systematic process and standard to manage human resources in the services industry, including in the express delivery sector, has been a topic of keen interest in the industry. In this regard,'Investors in People' has been accepted internationally as an authoritative and scientific benchmark for companies to improve their human resources management. TNT China's 'Investors in People' accreditation reflects TNT's commitment globally to developing its people. Currently, numerous offices across TNT's global footprints have received the 'Investors in People' accreditation.
