TNT officially sponsors the Dutch pavilion at Shanghai Expo
(Shanghai, China Jan. 13, 2009) Today, the world’s leading express and mail services provider, TNT, announced that it will become the official express sponsor of the Dutch Pavilion at the 2010 Shanghai World Expo (Expo), of which TNT will support the Dutch government with all its express delivery needs during the period of the Expo.
The signing of the official sponsorship agreement between the State of Netherlands and TNT was held in the presence of Dutch Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende, Dutch Minister of Foreign Trade Frank Heemskerk and the senior officials from the Shanghai Municipal Government and Shanghai Expo Bureau.
To kick off this exclusive partnership, TNT was tasked with the delivery of the Dutch Pavilion giant model from Shanghai to Den Haag in the Netherlands today. Thereafter, the model will be transported to Madurodam theme park for long term display, allowing both Dutch locals and tourists to celebrate the anticipation and excitement of the 2010 Shanghai World Expo.

Specifically for today, I am excited that through the professional support of TNT, we are delivering a piece of the Expo back to the Netherlands."
