TNT Hoau Further Expands its Road Network
Expanded network helps its customers accelerate their business growth
(Zhengzhou, Henan, 4 December 2009) – TNT Hoau, TNT’s wholly-owned subsidiary in China, today announced that it will be expanding its distribution network, bringing the total number of TNT Hoau depots across China to 1500, by the end of December 2009. The expanded road network will further optimize TNT Hoau’s already extensive private domestic road distribution network and will place TNT Hoau in an even stronger position to facilitate the business growth of its customers, especially its SME customers, across China.
"Continued investments to further expand and optimize TNT Hoau’s domestic road distribution network will be critical to the sustainable healthy growth and development of TNT Hoau in China," said Edward Xu, CEO, TNT Hoau. "As the leader in the Chinese domestic road services market, TNT Houa is committed to building a pioneering and efficient network operation model in the Chinese domestic road distribution service to raise the operation and service benchmark for the market. Ultimately, it is all about increasing the competitiveness of our services to bring even greater value to our customers in China."
Over the past years, TNT-Hoau has demonstrated its commitment to strengthening its market leading position in the domestic road transportation industry. In addition to its well-established LTL services, TNT Hoau launched the market’s first Day-Definite road distribution service in February 2009. Since then, the TNT Hoau Day-Definite road distribution service has achieved great success and has received positive feedback from its customers, as well as the industry and government. As the first road service of its kind in the Chinese market, the TNT Hoau Day-Definite road distribution service has improved the overall service standards of current domestic road freight services, in terms of time, security and service quality.
In the first half of 2009, TNT Hoau inaugurated its road mega-hubs in Xi’an, Shannxi Province and Wuhan, Hubei Province. Leveraging on TNT’s well-established international road expertise in Europe, the mega-hubs signify a new milestone in the development of TNT Hoau as it pioneers an upgraded network operation model in the industry, thereby increasing the delivery speeds on key line-hauls and lowering its operational cost. Over the next three years, TNT Hoau will establish another 10 regional road mega-hubs to tap on China’s growing domestic economy.
TNT Hoau currently operates China’s most extensive private domestic road transportation network, which consists of 56 domestic hubs, serving 1500 depots, and covering over 600 Chinese cities.
