TNT Hoau Completes China's First National Day-Definite
Road Distribution Network
(Guangzhou, China, 8 March 2010) – TNT Hoau, the wholly-owned subsidiary of TNT in China, today announced the completion of its pioneering Day-Definite road distribution network, a first-of-its-kind in China. The expanded network, which spans across China's key economic and business hubs, will allow customers across the country to enjoy the benefits of on-time shipments, which arrive in good condition and on a highly consistent basis. Meanwhile, the Day-Definite road distribution network, together with TNT's strong international road distribution expertise, will further propel TNT Hoau into a new value-added arena, to lead the Chinese road distribution services into a new era of development, in terms of time, security and service quality.
Within one year of the launch of the TNT Hoau Day-Definite road distribution service in China, the reliable and secure Day-Definite network has successfully expanded to 26 key Chinese cities, through 246 Day-Definite service line-hauls, radiating service coverage across nearly 800 TNT Hoau depots in the Bohai Bay, Yangtze River Delta, Pearl River Delta, as well as the major economic regions in central and western China.

Since its launch last year, the TNT Hoau Day-Definite road distribution service, which boasts on-time rate of 99%, has received positive customer feedback. Besides small-medium enterprises, numerous Fortune 500 companies, especially those in the hi-tech/ electronics, auto parts and textile industries, have also benefitted from the value realized from the day-definite road distribution service.

To further drive customer service excellence, TNT Hoau has launched a new 400-808-6666 nationwide hotline service to ensure that all customers using the TNT Hoau Day-Definite road distribution service will receive a consistent, reliable and high-quality customer experience. At the same time, TNT-Hoau has recently purchased the second batch of nearly 400 EUIII-emission standard delivery vehicles to ply its Day-Definite service routes.
The TNT Hoau Day-Definite road distribution service utilizes TNT-Hoau's existing extensive road distribution network, to deliver on-time, door-to-door and depot-to-depot services. Shipments are bar-coded to allow customers to 'track and trace' their shipments, via the Internet, giving them greater control over their supply-chain planning requirements and savings supply-chain costs. At the same time, all TNT Hoau Day-Definite trucks are equipped with Global Positioning System (GPS) technology to enable 'real-time' tracking of each truck which enhances our service capability. The application of special 'cages' during the transportation process facilitates the delivery and sorting of consignments while ensuring that they all arrive in good conditions.
As China's leading domestic road distribution service provider, TNT-Hoau already manages the industry's most extensive road distribution network consisting of 1,500 depots served by 56 domestic hubs covering more than 600 Chinese cities.
